Portraiture Demonstration.

Jenny Croom
An art demonstration by award-winning Melbourne portraitist Jenny Croom -acclaimed inaugural winner of the ABC's Portrait Artist of the Year.
Join us to be treated to a fascinating masterclass in balancing structural realism with intuitive abstraction.
Jenny Croom typically begins her process on canvas using minimal planning, allowing a believable human face to gradually emerge from the layers.
Attendees watch her work in acrylic paints building up a textured surface filled with bold brushwork, and wayward colour. Ultimately, a demonstration by Jenny Croom highlights not just how to render a likeness, but how to evoke a profoundly relatable human mood.
An afternoon tea will be provided.
