The committee of Brighton Art Society are seeking expressions of interest for 2023 for Artists to engage with members to educate and inspire in various forms of creative exchanges.    In 2023 the Society is extending opportunities for the Artist community to submit proposals under 4 main education methods, these being, Classes, Demonstrations, Workshops and Short Courses.

 

All education methods are run at the Brighton Art Society in ​the Bayside’s Arts & Cultural Centre, Level 1 Corner Wilson & Carpenter Streets, Brighton VIC 3186

 

Classes: Terms are 9 weeks in duration with 4 terms per calendar year.  Submissions for class teaching requires the Artist to take a minimum of two consecutive terms, and may have more than 1 class per day if the medium or focus of each class is different. Day classes are usually 2.5hrs in duration and Evening classes are 2 hours in duration.  Classes may run for all 4 terms.

 

Term dates for 2023 are:

Term1: 30 January 2023 to 31 March 2023

Term 2: 24 April 2023 to 23 June 2023

Term 3: 10 July 2023 to 8 September 2023

Term 4: 2 October 2023 to 1 December 2023

 

Demonstrations:  Sundays between 2pm and 4pm during term dates.

 

Workshops: Workshops run during term breaks for 1 or 2 days and are about 5 hours in duration each day, usually run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

 

Short Courses: Run during term dates, and can run for 3 to 4 weeks. Contact hours may vary per submission.  A series of related shorted courses is also welcome.
