We have classes on most days and evenings. New or prospective members should view “Classes & Groups” to see what’s available and our timetable. Classes are organized into four 9-week terms over the year. To join a term class, simply fill out and post a membership form, call our office on 9553 8506, or send us a message via the Contact Us form.
We have both a working Studio and a Gallery for exhibitions. Our Studio is a fantastic open space on Level 2 of the
Old
Brighton
Town Hall
, providing great lighting and ambience. We supply easels and backing boards, folding tables, floodlights, still life items, wash-up area, and a storage area if you want to leave your work to dry. You’ll need to bring all your own art materials we advise you talk to the tutor if uncertain about what you’ll need. Also, there’s a kitchen where you can make hot or cold drinks (we supply tea & coffee at nominal cost).
Our Gallery (the Kevin Taylor Gallery, after a late BAS tutor) is a secure space adjacent to our studio where anyone from an individual member to one of our groups can hold an exhibition. The Studio & Gallery have a full calendar of events during the year.
